Six Apart has announced support for video podcasting to TypePad blogging service, in partnerships with Serious Magic, Inc. and VideoEgg, Inc. This makes adding, editing and viewing video on weblogs easier and more enjoyable for bloggers who use TypePad.

Serious Magic, Inc. has introduced Vlog It! to help bloggers quickly and easily create a video blog in real time. VideoEgg, Inc. debuted The VideoEgg Publisher, a small website plug-in that makes it simple for users to capture, edit, encode and post digital video through weblogs.

“It has become easy to capture the fun and important moments in your life on video,” said Michael Sippey, Six Apart’s vice president of product.

“People are recording video using their digital camera, cell phone and camcorder and are anxious to share that footage with their friends and families. Because they are easily created and accessed, weblogs are the ideal means of sharing those videos. We’re proud to be working with companies who are leveraging the integrated multimedia features of TypePad to bring video into the mainstream of weblogging.”

Considering the user base they have at SixApart, we can expect them to propel video blogging and podcasting to the new level.
