Google Video features UC Berkeley

The University California at Berkeley said Tuesday that it is using Google Video to deliver college courses, including lectures and symposia, free of charge. It is the first university to have its own featured page on Google Video, campus officials and Google said in a statement.

Initially, the university has put up a library of more than 250 hours of video for public viewing. Most of the videos were not previously available online.

PodShow raises $15 million in funding

Adam Curry and Ron Bloom’s PodShow has raised another $15 million in its second round of funding. This follows up on an $8.85 million first round deal from last summer.

Some venture capitals (VCs) are hesitatant to get involved in anything podcasting. But, obviously others do not agree.

Microsoft’s podcasting support comes from third-party?

Aaron Coldiron, a Microsoft product manager, said on Friday at the Podcast and Portable Media Expo that plug-ins and podcasting tools for Vista will likely come from third-party developers.

The company has no plans to build a podcast aggregator into Vista but is thinking about it.
