Rocketboom Earns $247K in Revenues During 2006

Andrew Baron points to a new article on the tired issue of Amanda Congdon leaving Rocketboom. In the article titled “They rose like a rocket and crashed with a boom”, Richard Rushfield summarized how the team splitted from both Andrew’s and Amanda’s point of views.

At the same time, Andrew reported that for the entire period of 2006, he managed to bring in $247,412 via Rocketboom. A large portion of it — $210k - was from advertising and licensing and the rest was mostly from consulting and merchandising.

As 100% owner of Rocketboom, Andrew has planned for better things in 2007. This year, we could expect another “boom” in both audio and video podcasting as both business model and marketing channel.

Can’t wait to see how it goes.
