Preview Podcasts with the New Google Reader

This one will keep current podcaster motivation up. If you’ve been planning to publish a podcast as part of you marketing strategy then now is the best time to jump on the bandwagon. I’m talking about Google Reader.
While it primarily is a news aggregator, it also has support for reading podcast feed. Other than subscribing and managing RSS feeds, Google Reader allows you to subscribe to podcast feed and preview the podcast audio directly from the reader.
Its integration with internal Flash player makes this possible. If you’re before your desktop (or laptop) during the podcast, you can even play the whole show without actually downloading the file.
If you need to carry the podcast while commuting and traveling, it can be nice to preview the content before downloading.
One of the most interesting features is the tie-in to Gmail and Blogger. It means you can choose to email or blog stories or podcast directly from the reader to your Blogger blog.
