PodTech has officially announced on their site and their podcast about Robert Scoble’s hiring. Scoble is a Microsoft Evangelist through his blog, and is the first Microsoft’s videoblogger. He joined PodTech as Vice President of Media Development.

“I’ve seen the power of this new media, and how fast audiences can grow. Out of all the companies I’ve been watching, PodTech.Network is best positioned to take advantage of the rapid growth that I’m seeing in this marketplace and I’m thrilled to join this team,” Scoble said.

Scoble is recently completed the book Naked Conversations: How Blogs Are Changing the Way Businesses Talk with Customers.

PodTech, founded by John Furrier, is a new podcasting startup. The company is well known for its innovative InfoTalk podcast, covering Silicon Valley technology and business podcast. In March 2006, PodTech raised $5.5 million in venture capital.
