NBA.com Now Video Podcasting
Posted by Hendry Lee in Podcast News
NBA.com, which has a podcast covering the latest talk about the NBA, including the TNT’s Inside the NBA, now makes available video podcasts for their audience. The NBA TV Zap two minutes nightly recap and TNT’s Inside the NBA on Thursday will be offered in the new video format.
The Web has confused the term a little beyond acceptable. May be they try to coin a new term in hope for fame? Well, if you heard the term vodcasting, video podcasting, vidcasting, or any other similar terms, they indeed refer to the same thing. It is exactly the same concept as audio podcasting.
In audio podcasting, the audio meta-data is syndicated along with other information in a RSS feed with enclosure. Video podcasting replaces the audio file with video (audio and visual experience) file.
Access to the video is much the same as with audio podcasting. Just load the specific podcast RSS feed into your podcatcher software, and let the software do the update and download for you. The file can be viewed with any popular video player, as long as it can play the video format.
